In the words of its founder, SFS was founded on idealism—to give the U.S. a global presence with “a great soul, a great heart, a great mind.”

The nation’s first school of international affairs has produced graduates who have made the world safer, more just, and more prosperous. Today, SFS is top-ranked at the graduate level and rival to Harvard and Princeton as an undergraduate school in its field. During the 2019-2020 academic year, SFS will celebrate its centennial—looking back with pride and forward with excitement.
